Dorset Grief & Bereavement Support & Counselling Group
We are a community of active grievers that have lost our partner/wife/husband and follow a helpful framework of group meetings, inspired by the 12 step programs.
Bereavement Support Groups in Dorset are quite common, offering a safe space for individuals to connect, express their emotions, and find support.

However, these groups often consist of grievers facing various circumstances and lack a structured approach to progressing through grief towards peace and acceptance. This realization led to the establishment of the Peace and Acceptance Community.
We are an engaged community of individuals who have experienced the loss of a partner, spouse, or significant other. Our community follows a valuable framework inspired by the principles of 12-step programs, encouraging active grieving. For us, active grieving involves purposefully taking steps to navigate the emotional turmoil and pain, ultimately embarking on a journey towards peace and acceptance.
United by a shared vision of living in harmony with our loss, we embrace a set of shared values that guide us towards a common purpose. Achieving peace and acceptance is a result of engaging in the Peace & Acceptance Community program steps, recognizing that this commitment extends throughout our lives.
During our meetings, we adhere to a structured format that ensures progress and focuses on the steps and desired outcomes rather than relying solely on an individual leader. This approach empowers us to continually move forward collectively.
