Devon Grief & Bereavement Support & Counselling Group
We are a community of active grievers that have lost our partner/wife/husband and follow a helpful framework of group meetings, inspired by the 12 step programs.
Bereavement Support Groups in Devon are pretty common, providing a safe space where people can connect, share their emotions, and find support. The thing is, these groups often consist of individuals dealing with different circumstances, and they may lack a structured approach to help us move forward in our grief journey towards finding peace and acceptance. That’s why we created the Peace and Acceptance Community.
We’re a vibrant community of people who have experienced the loss of a partner, spouse, or significant other. Inspired by the principles of 12-step programs, we follow a valuable framework that encourages us to actively grieve. To us, active grieving means taking deliberate steps to navigate the emotional ups and downs and pain, with the ultimate goal of finding peace and acceptance.
We’re united by a shared vision—to live in harmony with our loss—and guided by a set of shared values that propel us towards a common purpose. Achieving peace and acceptance requires engaging in the steps of the Peace & Acceptance Community program, knowing that this commitment extends throughout our lives.
During our meetings, we stick to a structured format that keeps us moving forward and focuses on the steps and desired outcomes, rather than relying solely on an individual leader. This approach empowers us to progress together and continually move towards healing and growth.
